Verafin recognized as one of fastest growing companies

St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada April 9, 2009

Verafin, a leader in anti-money laundering and anti-fraud solutions for the finance industry, has been named one of Atlantic Canada's fastest growing companies by Progress Magazine.

Now in its 11th year, Progress Magazine's list of Atlantic Canada's Fastest Growing Companies for 2009 was announced on April 8 at Fox Creek Golf Club, located in Moncton, New Brunswick. Verafin ranked third in the top one hundred ranking, with a recent growth rate of more than 500 percent.

"Over the last several years, we've experienced incredible growth, and have more than doubled our customer base and staff," said Jamie King, president of Verafin. "We see this as a strong indicator of customer satisfaction, since it's often our customers that do a lot of the selling, through their endorsement of our solutions and our company. Whether it's helping a customer prepare for an audit or exam, learn about a new feature, or plan their process reengineering efforts, we strive to support our customer every step of the way, and we recognize how vital this is to our success."

According to Pamela Scott Crace, editor of Progress Magazine, the Fastest Growing Company ranking identifies the region's high growth mavericks, and defines companies that are setting the pace, not just for the Atlantic Canada economy, but also for the national economy.
